Does this affect what gets recommended?

Products are picked first, links added second. An article is written around what genuinely suits a small rented room — floor clearance, weight, noise, whether it survives a second move — and only then checked for whether an affiliate programme exists for it. If nothing suitable has one, the product still gets named as a plain "check price" mention rather than dropped. Every guide also names at least one product it doesn't recommend, and says why, which isn't something an advert does.
